Candidates must have strong communication skills, be a team player and provide the highest quality of patient care. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, including the ability / willingness to take call and holiday coverage. When on call, must be within 20 minutes from work. CT and X-ray are covered by this position. **ARRT (R) (CT) and OBMI** are required upon start. Ability to work independently and use critical thinking skills is a must with this position. Prioritizing and multitasking are essential skills for the successful applicant. Working under general supervision, incumbent performs the duties of a CT/Radiology Technologist; responsible for performing all CT producers as well as routine diagnostic radiographic procedures for diagnostic purposes in alignment with the mission, values and goals of the organization. Demonstrates safe and effective operation of all diagnostic imaging equipment and processes applying knowledge of principles of radiation safety. Prepares and positions patient for procedure by using established protocols to achieve the highest quality image. Explains procedures to patients, obtaining and recording patient histories and consent forms as needed. Properly positions patients with appropriate devices to obtain desired anatomic position. Selects techniques and correct protocols for exams, manipulates reconstructed images using a wide variety of available computer functions to optimally visualize desired anatomy. Reviews, verifies and evaluates images to ensure technical quality and image quality. Education: Graduate of a diagnostic imaging program Licensure/Certification: Current applicable state licensure in Diagnostic Imaging and national registration in Radiography and Computerized Tomography ARRT (R,CT) required. BLS/CPR Certification: Personnel providing direct care in patient care and diagnostic areas are required to acquire and maintain BLS/CPR certification. Experience: Two years previous experience in the appropriate modality field of imaging preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Must have excellent communication, people skills, and ability to have empathy. Must be flexible and self-motivated. Must possess high degree of professionalism in demeanor and appearance.
