Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years
Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years

Unit 10 EAST (Neuro Stepdown EMU - Epilepsy Monitoring Unit)

Common diagnoses/Types of patients Higher acuity Neuroscience patients, EVDs (experience preferred; however, perm staff would probably be assigned these patients), TPA (any patient that would be 24 hours post TPA would be managed by perm staff only), Strokes, EMU, Seizures, Craniotomy's

Are RNs required to titrate drips Titration is only done by physician's orders in a step-down setting. There may be some protocols that allow for titration, but they would educate on that.

RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc.) RT is available 24/7 - States they get "floor Vents" - RN's are not required to have vent experience. When there are floor vents they are usually on a set setting. These are managed by RT physician. If they require changes they will go back to the ICU.
