Oregon License Required Unit: ER - RN # beds/trauma bays - 11 Do you have a Fast track - no Do you have a separate Triage area & do you allow/require travelers to do Triage? Direct bed till full then quick triage "Do you have a separate holding area in the ER or are ER holds intermixed w/in the ER? Do ER RN's manage their own ER holds? Room 3, standard ER RN assignment In-house Security - Yes # patients per day - 37 Ratios - 1:3-4 Required Certifications - BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Common diagnoses/Types of patients - ER type Experience or 'Must have' skills - Independent thinker, self motivated ED Physicians/Mid-Levels - 1 doc, 12 hr shifts Charge Nurse/House Supervisor - Triage RN = charge RN= pts half the day Nurse Aids/Paramedics/Patient sitters - Occasionally EMR Meditech RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Does RT do ABG's, breathing tx, EGS's? RT in house 24/7 Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? ER RN do everything in ER X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport? Imaging Dept next to ER Phlebotomy or nurse draw - ER RN do everything in ER Shifts & Scheduling - 07-19. 10-22, 13-01, 19-07 Weekend Requirement - Every other weekend Holiday Requirement - Yep, unless off in signed contract Is there a call or standby requirement? No, will be working Floating Requirements - Only if you want to and usually not for ER Scrub Color/Dress Code - Navy blue Unit/Department specific orientation - Yes, three 12 hour days Additional Notes - Trauma level 4, next to major interstate and infamous "Cabbage Hill"
